Behind the Brand – Owner Charmaine Gillis

Working hard to become a Master Soapmaker over the past 25 years, I’ve come to realize that this is truly my passion in life. Every customer has unique skin and the issues for which they seek help is what drives me to work at perfecting the craft.

This pandemic has shown me that it’s more important than ever to stay connected and this is the first installment of a series of “Behind the Brand” posts – where we pull back the curtain and give you a glimpse into what makes the Ocean Bottom Brand – both the products and the people.

Passion, purpose and quality ingredients are the legs on which I have built my company. Creating sustainability within the retail realm has been incredibly important – in packaging, ingredients and relationships. Premium raw ingredients make up our Ocean Bottom products and securing sustainable and lasting relationships with my suppliers and clients is paramount. I am very proud of our eco-friendly packaging, top tier customer service, and passion for creating products for all skin types, ethnicities, and ages.
