Soap with Hope – A partnership with the Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope
We are truly honored to partner with the Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope in their inspiring Soap with Hope program. Every bar of Hope Soap is made with love and care, supporting those in need. The program offers showers and hot water for anyone in need, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Together, with the Salvation Army team, we are making a world of difference, one bar of soap at a time.
At Ocean Bottom Soap Company, giving back to our community is deeply important to us. We are honoured to support organizations that care for people in practical, meaningful ways, and The Soup Shack is one of those organizations.
The Soup Shack is a not-for-profit organization serving downtown Windsor by providing free food, essential supplies, and a warm, welcoming place for those in need. What began as a mobile soup kitchen operating from a trailer has grown into something even greater. After two years of moving from location to location, The Soup Shack has now found a permanent home at 636 Goyeau Street in Windsor.
This new 1,500-square-foot space will allow them to expand the support they offer to the community. Operated by Feeding Windsor Essex, The Soup Shack serves approximately 130 people every night. Their outreach supports not only individuals experiencing homelessness, but also families dealing with food insecurity and seniors facing social isolation. In the past year alone, they provided 50,000 meals, and that number is expected to continue growing.
Their new location will make an even greater impact. The space includes indoor seating, a kitchen, lockers, washrooms, and an outdoor courtyard. It will provide a more comfortable and dignified environment where people can gather, enjoy a meal, share a coffee, and connect with others. It is a place of compassion, community, and care.
Ocean Bottom Soap Company has been grateful for the opportunity to support The Soup Shack in a number of ways. Over time, we have contributed through our staff donating time to serve as well as providing handmade soaps, lip balms, and personal care items. We believe even the smallest essentials can make a meaningful difference and remind people that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
We are thankful for organizations like The Soup Shack that show up for people every single day of the year. Their work is making a real difference in Windsor, and we are always glad to help where we can.
