What makes grass-fed tallow good for skin?
Grass-fed tallow is valued for its rich profile of fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamins A, D, E, and K. Its composition closely resembles our skin’s own natural oils, allowing it to absorb easily while helping support moisture balance and the skin barrier. It leaves skin feeling soft, conditioned, and well-nourished.
How should I store my tallow products?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Because tallow is a natural fat with a low melting point, it can soften in warm temperatures.
What if my tallow melts during shipping?
Tallow melts easily — which is wonderful for skincare but challenging in warmer months. If your product softens or melts in transit, simply place it in a cool area to re-solidify. The product remains safe and effective to use. Texture may change slightly, especially with whipped products.
Why does the texture sometimes feel grainy?
Occasionally, natural fats can form small crystals if they warm and cool at different rates. This is completely normal and does not affect quality or performance. The product will melt smoothly when applied to skin.
How long does tallow last?
Our tallow products contain no synthetic preservatives. For best quality, we recommend using within 12 months of purchase.
Are essential oils in tallow products safe for sensitive skin?
We use pure essential oils in carefully formulated amounts. However, everyone’s skin is different. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing before full application. Some citrus essential oils may increase sensitivity to sunlight, so evening use is recommended for those blends.

Because our products are handmade with natural ingredients, you may notice slight variations in colour, texture, or scent from batch to batch. This is a natural part of artisan skincare.
