Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Because this cream is made with natural grass-fed tallow and contains no synthetic stabilizers, it can soften or melt in warm temperatures.
What happens if my tallow melts during shipping?
Tallow has a naturally low melting point and melts on contact with skin — this is part of what makes it so beautifully absorbent. During warmer months, it may soften or melt in transit. If this happens, simply place the jar in a cool area until it re-solidifies. The product remains perfectly usable, although the whipped texture may change slightly.
Does this product contain preservatives?
No synthetic preservatives are added. For best quality, we recommend using within 12 months of purchase.
Are citrus essential oils photosensitive?
Some citrus essential oils naturally contain compounds called furanocoumarins, which can increase the skin’s sensitivity to UV exposure. Because this cream contains citrus essential oils, we recommend applying in the evening or avoiding direct sun exposure after application.
